Hi, I’m Linda Sparks. I’d like to personally thank you for visiting our site. We’re very excited to introduce our updated and expanded business development programs for small business owners and solo-preneurs. In the meantime, I’d like to briefly share a little about myself.
I’ve authored two popular books and have spent
more than 25 years in the field of sales, serving in both
outside sales and executive roles. In 1990, I was bit by the
entrepreneurial bug and founded Performance Development
Company, a business consulting and training firm, where I
served as president for 10 years. For the last five years, I
have worked as an independent consultant, guiding clients to
take a more integrated approach to business development.
Like so many business professionals in the early years of self employment I was constantly seeking, quoting and occasionally even closing new business. In my search of the ideal client, I had to kiss a lot of frogs a long the way. I don’t believe that you have to kiss multiple frogs to find your ideal customer. I was determined to create a better way and one that could be replicated for others.
In 2000, along with my colleague and good
friend Kris Butler, I authored my first book on business
development titled, Business
Development is Everyone’s Business (BDEB)
released by PDC. Teaching a practical and proven
process for how all employees, not just management and sales
teams, can pull together and work to make a business more
profitable, the book has received rave reviews and
revolutionized how many companies view and implement their
business development activities. It was my first true client attraction strategy.
My latest book, 151 Quick
Ideas to Increase Sales was released in
September 2006 by Career Press. I’m very proud of this book
and honored to be a part of a successful book series. The book
is jammed packed with creative strategies and ideas that can
immediately spark an increase in revenue for business owners,
salespeople and service professionals.
My Process By nature I am
very process oriented so I take a very systematic approach to
helping my clients to do their best work. I don’t offer cookie
cutter solutions. What I do is apply a proven process to
uncovering the unique assets inherent in each client’s
operation and then develop practical strategies that leverage
them. The system produces successful results every time, so I
trust the system and I believe you will too!
The Big Move
In November of 2005 my husband Jim and I
embarked on a big adventure. We packed up the house and the
hound dog and moved from our hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana
to Tucson, Arizona, (which is a city I have fallen in love
with). The move forced me to re-evaluate my existing
practice centered in Indianapolis. The traveling back and
forth frequently to meet with clients in the months following
the move inspired me to develop a more proactive online
presence.
Which brings me to the present day. An on-line
practice, combined with local clients, is an awesome model and every day I embrace it more
thoroughly with the soon to be re-launched www.lindasparks.com
and My Marketing Base Camp, scheduled to be launched
in the spring of 2007. These two brands will pave the way for
my clients to make better informed decisions about their
approach to marketing and communication.
Once again, thank you for your interest and I
look forward to hearing from you.”
To Your
Success,
Linda
